Yuki is a sweet, silly 2 year old border collie x who was originally fostered by a student on campus in the Carroll College Anthrozoology program.  Yuki is very smart and excelled in obedience training, and was friends with another dog she lived with, but unfortunately campus life was too stressful for her and she showed a high-level of on-leash reactivity to other dogs and new people.   After the academic year ended, she moved to a local boarding facility where she continued training on her social skills. With the greater space and less activity than a college campus, Yuki relaxed a lot. She has successfully been in many playgroups with lots of dogs, ventured around town, and met new people. She is very social and loves to snuggle. She can still sometimes be reactive and bark at new dogs or people but she has gained great social skills and we think she is ready to be a well-loved pet. She would do great in a home with another social dog (she says 'no thank you' to living with cats) and with adopters who are willing to take things slowly, and continue her training.
