The 2017 event features a special presentation from Working for Dogs for Conservation (WD4C).

WD4C, based in Bozeman, Mont., is the world's leading conservation detection dog organization. They combine expert canine data collection with cutting-edge laboratory techqniques to help answer some of the most pressing questions in conservation.

Their dogs can detect weeds before they break the surface, aninmals that live below ground and aquatic organisms invisible to the human eye. The WD4C co-founders were the first to train dogs to detcect wide-ranging carnivores non-invasively, to uncover illegal snares in Africa and to find invasive plants, insects and fish.

Additionally, HSWM is pleased to welcome Lucy Postins, the co-founder and Chief Integrity Officer of The Honest Kitchen. Lucy will join us at the Wine & Bitch Dinner and stay through the Canine Classic weekent.

The Honest Kitchen produces all natural, human-grade whole foods for pets. Lucy spearheads all operations, corporate & product development, strategy and marketing for The Honest Kitchen. With extensive experience as a companion animal nutritionist, Lucy is an innovative entrepreneur who's passionate about advanced nutrition and holistic pet health including complementary modalities such as herbalism and homeopathy.

Her interest in natural nutrition and the raw food diet led Lucy to investigate ways to make her own pet’s food more convenient to prepare, which eventually resulted in the creation of her holistic pet food company.
