Critter Camp helps children build a sense of kindness, respect and responsibility for all animals and life. Meeting new friends while caring for shelter pets fosters self-esteem and confidence, in both two-legged and four-legged participants. Kids leave camp inspired to be animal ambassadors at home, in their neighborhood and in their community, while sharing what they have learned with their family, friends and neighbors.
2017 Critter Camp registration opens March 1, 2017!
Please read below before registering for Critter Camp.
Dates listed on the website may not still be available when you go to the schedule. If your preferred session is not listed on the registration page, it is already full. Please choose one of the available sessions with space still available.
Registration is 100% online and spaces are filled immediately as applications and payments are submitted. Due to the popularity of Critter Camp and the online registration process, we are unable to hold any camp spots. Camp sessions often fill up quickly, especially the speciality camps like Canine Camp and Junior Volunteer Camp- we highly recommend registering online as soon as possible. You may also register in person at the shelter, but we cannot guarantee that space will still be available. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept mailed camp applications and payments. Please email email@example.com if you have questions or need additional information.
Thank you to L.E.A.W. Family Foundation for underwriting our 2017 summer camps! We are thrilled to be able to offer kids in the community an opportunity to learn about sheltering, animal care and go behind the scenes at the Humane Society!
Each camp session runs Tuesday through Friday and meets in our education room downstairs at the shelter. Drop-off each day is between 8:30-9am and pick-up is at 3:30pm at the Humane Society. Note that camp ends promptly at 3:30 this year. Please use the education room entrance located on the south east side of the building.
