Thank you for your concern for these horses and for the work you’ve done so far to try to coordinate efforts to help rescue them. We at the Humane Society of Western Montana are aware of this situation and share your concerns. We and the ASPCA have been in communication with local law enforcement to offer support, and we are grateful that law enforcement has stepped in to provide temporary care for the horses as we work to do everything we can to ensure a positive outcome for them. We hope to be successful in our attempt to obtain these horses on Thursday so that we can ensure they continue to receive proper care, as many will need ongoing veterinary attention. To align efforts toward a shared goal, we strongly urge this group and others aware of the ongoing situation to assist us as we try to avoid a bidding war. We appreciate everyone’s concern for these animals.
