MONICA'S JOY: This fund supports the special needs of our senior shelter pets. Donations to Monica's Joy will go directly to the unique medical, dietary, and emotional care of our aging pet population while they await their forever families.
EMILY KANTOR MEDICAL FUND: This fund helps pay for medical procedures, diagnostic testing, special prescription diets, and more. We use these funds to provide animals with much needed medical care before adoption.
NANDI WISHCAMPER FUND: This fund, through a partnership with the Grey Muzzle Organization, helps pay for veterinary expenses for pets needing medical care. All pets must be spayed/neutered. This fund was established in memory of Nandi, a German Shorthair Pointer who died suddenly at the age of eight.
Did You Know?
Humane Society of Western Montana is financially independent and relies almost entirely on donations, grants, and fundraising events to support our organization. We are not part of any larger national organization nor do we receive funding from the city, county, or state.
Your gift supports the pets in our care and allows us to provide a variety of services for our community including our low-income spay/neuter program, free behavior counseling for people and their pets, and our summer Critter Camp for kids.

It costs about $300 to care for each animal during their stay with us, yet adoption fees average $70 per animal. That cost includes spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, veterinary care, special diets, ongoing medications, as well as “room and board” for weeks or even months.
Your donations make it possible for us to provide top-notch care while at the same time keeping adoption an affordable option for everyone.
