Check HSWM’s Found Pets
HSWM posts all stray animals that come into our facility online. We also check both local and national resources, like Petco Love Lost, every day an animal is within their stray holding period. You can view all current stray pets using the button below.
Found animals often have a family and are usually within a mile of their home. While it may seem counterintuitive, bringing a lost pet – especially healthy cats – decreases their chance of being found by their owner. If you find a lost pet, please take the following steps:

Check for ID Tags
Check the pets’ collar (if they have one) for contact information – note that sometimes this information is not on a tag but on the collar itself. If there are no tags, take the pet to Petco, a vet clinic or HSWM to scan the animal for a microchip.
If Able, Hold On To The Pet
Talk to neighbors in the area where the area where the animal was found to see if they recognize it. You can also look for lost pet postings in the Petco Love Lost map below, or on local area resources.
