Wish List

We are always in need of something!

Enjoy shopping for the animals yourself? Want to enrich the lives of pets in our care by providing snacks or toys?  Or, would you like to support our amazing staff with supplies?  Take a look at our Wish List below – or visit our amazon.com wishlist HERE – these things are always needed and always appreciated.

Do you want to support pets beyond the shelter?

HSWM actively supports pet ownership and care through many community programs.  We do this because we care for pets and people and understand that anyone can experience hardship. We know pet owners are more likely to care for their pets before themselves, including feeding pets first.

Our food bank and our food support programs are always in high demand and short supply.  Please consider a donation of food today to support your friends and neighbors with pets.  Donations to our pet food program saves families and the pets that help them thrive.

Foster Kitten Wish List

It is common to have upwards of 70 mama cats and kittens in our foster network during kitten season alone – we need your help with supplies!

These are our most-needed items!

  • KITCHEN SCALES (small scales to send out with fosters): great for monitoring weight loss/gain in small kittens
  • BABY WIPES: especially nice for messy orphan kittens who don’t have a mama cat to help keep them clean!
  • SMALL PAPER PLATES: these are shallow enough to allow kittens to access food when they start eating mash/gruel
  • SMALLER PLASTIC LITTER BOXES: great for shelter use and in-home foster use
  • HOT WATER BOTTLES: these help keep tiny kittens warm, and are much easier to sanitize than rice bag warmers
  • KITTEN PLAY PENS (or kid play pens): if your child has outgrown one of these, they are great for keeping young kittens safe and out of trouble
  • MIRACLE NIPPLES (smaller kitten size, not puppy size): important for helping kittens who are struggling to nurse/eat
  • SCRUB TOPS: helpful for keeping new, undervaccinated cats safe.
  • BLENDER BOTTLE: these help get all the clumps out of our milk replacer
  • BABY BOTTLE WARMER
